We value good sight. We value you.

Healthy eyes play a vital role in your quality of life. They are one of the hardest-working parts of the body, yet often the most overlooked. At Tina Perez, you receive a thorough assessment along with highly experienced and qualified advice — whether you’re young or old. Regular eye checks are essential for detecting common conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration, or simply helping you manage dry eyes.

The right look for you.

At Tina Perez, we bring together exceptional eye care and the latest in frame fashion. Eyewear is a subtle yet expressive extension of your personality, so it’s important to get it right. Sadly, many people think you need to sacrifice fashion for functionality — but not at Tina Perez. Our team has an eye for fashion and years of experience matching frames to faces. You can trust us to help you find individually styled frames that suit both your face and your personality.

Your eyes are in good hands.

Tina Perez

Tina is an experienced optometrist with a passion for helping people see more clearly and live more fully. She holds a Bachelor of Optometry with Honours from the University of New South Wales and has completed postgraduate training in Ocular Therapeutics.

With over a decade of experience running her own independent practice, Tina also brings a wealth of clinical knowledge from her time at Royal Perth Hospital’s Eye Clinic and the Low Vision Clinic. Her commitment to eye health extends far beyond the consulting room — she has volunteered in remote villages in Nepal to correct avoidable blindness due to uncorrected refractive error, provided eye care through homeless clinics across Perth, and even served at the Sydney Olympic Games eye clinic in 2000.

Tina has also shared her knowledge internationally, teaching clinical skills to optometrists in Sri Lanka. Today, she continues to support the next generation of optometrists as a clinical supervisor in the UWA Doctor of Optometry program and enjoys mentoring students during their final-year placements at her practice.

When it comes to eyes — you could say Tina’s seen it all.

Olivia Stewart

Olivia has made the exciting leap from the dispensing floor at Tina Perez Optometry — where she worked for over two years while studying — to the consulting room, joining the team as one of our optometrists in 2025. She completed her Doctor of Optometry at the University of Western Australia, following a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. Her clinical training included metro and rural placements, a six-week stint at the LV Prasad Eye Institute in India, and outreach work in the Ngaanyatjarra Lands providing care to remote Indigenous communities. During her studies, she was recognised for her leadership and commitment to the profession, receiving both the EHCWA Ambassador Award and the Optometry Western Australia Future Leader Award.

Outside of optometry, Olivia thrives on challenge and adventure. A passionate open-water swimmer, she’s completed two Solo Rottnest Channel crossings, and when she’s not in the ocean, you’ll find her out in nature or on the netball court.

Elisse Higginbotham

Elisse is a highly experienced optometrist with specialised training in paediatrics, myopia management, and vision therapy. She completed her Bachelor of Optometry and ocular therapeutics certification at the University of Melbourne, followed by a Master of Optometry at the University of New South Wales with a focus on children’s vision.

Elisse spent over 15 years working in a leading paediatric optometry practice in Melbourne before relocating to Perth. She has taught postgraduate optometrists through the Australian College of Optometry’s Advanced Certificate in Children’s Vision and provided clinical supervision as Lead Optometrist at the ACO’s Children’s and Myopia Clinics.

Now part of the team at Tina Perez Optometry, Elisse also lectures in the Doctor of Optometry program at UWA and continues to bring her gentle, knowledgeable approach to every child’s eye-care journey.
